The Krishi Vigyan Kendra is a district level Farm Science Center established in
31st March 1993 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi
at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Education Science and Technologycal Research, Trust,
Nanded District for speedy transfer of technology to the farmers fields. The aim
of Krishi Vigyan Kendra is to reduce the time lag between Generation of technology
at the research institutions and it's transfer to the farmer's field for
increasing production, productivity and income from the agriculture and allied sectors
on a sustained basis. In order to achieve this goal, four mandates have been envisaged
in the design of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
Our Mandates:
1)To test and refine the technologies at farmers field through On Farm Testing (OFT).
2) To demonstrate various agro techniques on farmers field through Front Line Demonstrations
(FLD).
3) To organize various need based Vocational and professional training programs
for the Practicing Farmers,Rural Youths.
4) To organize trainings for knowledge and skill updating for extension functionaries.
